Siegfried’s bath tells the story of Siegfried of Norse mythology who slayed a dragon and bathed in his blood thereby imbuing himself with immortal protection from injury. However some leafs fell in to the bath and landing of Siegfried’s should left this one spot vulnerable to injury. It is this vulnerable spot that Siegfried’s wife was duped into identifying by sewing a cross onto his tunic and when Siegfried knelt to drink at a spring he was betrayed by his friend who used this mark to direct his sword.
Here we see those leafs falling into the bubbling dragons blood.
