Throughout history and the history of art, the figure has been the most represented form, whether the images of humans and animals in the caves of Lascaux or the towering beauty of Michelangelo’s David in Florence, art has always used the figurative form to convey meaning and to demonstrate beauty.

Here in this section of the website the figures take different forms, in that some are portrait whilst others are full figures. The art here can be mostly described as figurative, as the art, whilst modern retains strong disenable references to the real world and specifically the human figure

A style approaching technique that runs through much of the art seen here, is the use of texture as a visual reference, that enables a visceral engagement with the organic particularly, where the subject is representing beauty as in the human form
